Visit the Nest
The Cardinal Shehan School typically holds two Open Houses throughout the school year. This new year has brought a new name. As winter progresses, we will share more information about our Visit the Nest Days, formerly called our Open Houses. More details to come! Walk in's are welcome!
During the average Visit the Nest, you will receive information about the school including some history, application process, and financial aid. You will also have the chance to meet some of our current administration, faculty, and current families. You will receive the opportunity to see various spaces on campus including classrooms, the library, and the gym. Prospective students are highly encouraged to attend the Visit the Nest with their families.
Campus Soar
In the past, we have offered Campus Tours to our students. Now, they will be called Campus Soars! As we begin slowly opening our school back up to assure our students' safety, we will share more details about when we will offer Campus Soar opportunities. Admissions Process
You have gone through the website, looked at our social media, and have spoken with friends and family about the school. You are now positive that Cardinal Shehan is the right fit for your student. Now, you are wondering what you need to do to become a part of the Cardinal Shehan community.
Applications for the upcoming school year open on November 1st of each year, and are open through April. After the April deadline, we operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Cardinal Shehan Academics Program
Early Education: The Cardinal Shehan School values the importance of providing the tools necessary to construct the foundation of education for our youngest learners. The underlying instructional strategy in early education throughout preschool is the use of organized free-play activities that are intended to provide opportunities for the child to interact, explore, and relate successfully in her or her environment. Kindergarten: The Cardinal Shehan School utilizes a variety of strategies and projects to teach the academic subjects in kindergarten. Learn more about our Kindergarten program!

Middle School: Students in grades 6th–8th learn in a departmentalized setting taught by teachers who specialize in particular subject areas. A cross-curricula team approach is used in our middle school program. Learn more about our Middle School!
