Post Thanksgiving Holiday Pivot to Virtual Learning

Dear Cardinal Shehan School Families,

As we reflect on the first trimester of the 20-21 school year, we are truly thankful for our ability to offer both in-person and virtual instruction to our students.  We are especially grateful to our outstanding faculty and staff who have worked so tirelessly to deliver a quality Catholic education to our in-person and remote learners, while ensuring safety and social distancing protocols are adhered to. Their dedication and commitment demonstrates the outstanding caliber of educators here at Cardinal Shehan School and in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

The well-being of our students, faculty and staff remains our top priority. We have been vigilant in our commitment to proper safety measures, transparent communication, and responsibly adapting to emerging circumstances.  As a risk mitigation strategy following the Thanksgiving holiday, we will “pivot” to virtual synchronous learning on Monday, November 30th through Wednesday, December 2nd.

We realize this announcement may cause an inconvenience for your family, but hope you understand the necessity.  It is important that we take this extra measure to allow for monitoring of potential symptoms and, if necessary, time to secure evidence of appropriate COVID 19 test results.

In this time of Thanksgiving, we have never been more thankful for you, our educational partners, and to our faculty and staff for their commitment to Catholic Education.

Yours in Christ,

Jim Sellinger
